Newport, RI, March 27, 2019– Newport Festivals Foundation (NFF), which is partnering with Newport Jazz and Folk Festival artists to donate on their behalf to a music education cause of the artist’s choosing, is teaming up with 2018 Newport Jazz Festival performer Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah and Conn-Selmer to present a Master Class and donate $10,000 worth of instruments to McDonogh 35 Senior High School, 4000 Cadillac Street in New Orleans.

Don’t miss the opportunity to get some of the best seats in the house for one of Newport’s most popular summer events featuring Jon Batiste & Friends at the Friday evening concert of the Newport Jazz Festival® presented by Natixis Investment Managers. The concert takes place August 2 at the International Tennis Hall of Fame at the Newport Casino, 194 Bellevue Avenue. The cocktail party begins at 6:30 pm, followed by the concert at 8:00 pm.

Sherry Turner DeCarava, publisher and art historian, will talk about the unique collaboration between Roy DeCarava and Langston Hughes, Roy’s photography and the scope of his work.

NEWPORT, RI, March 13, 2019 –Christian McBride, Artistic Director of the Newport Jazz Festival® presented by Natixis Investment Managers, today announced the Second Wave of artists. With more than half of these groups making their NJF debut as headliners, the 2019 festival takes place August 2-4 at Fort Adams State Park and the International Tennis Hall of Fame at the Newport Casino.
